Christian Eriksen - Attacking Midfielder With the Tottenham Hotspur F.

Zachary See is a former Northern Virginia Community College student who is pursuing a degree in English literature at Arcadia University in Pennsylvania. A longtime soccer coach in Mullens, West Virginia, Zachary See follows Tottenham Hotspur F.C. in the English Premier League and considers Christian Eriksen his favorite player.

A native of Denmark, Eriksen began playing in Middelfart as a three-year-old. He achieved early success as a Danish Youth Champions tournament competitor and was selected as “Best Technical Player,” despite his team losing in the semi-finals. Having tried out for top teams such as Manchester United and Barcelona, Eriksen ultimately signed with Ajax Amsterdam in 2008 and made his way to the “first team” in 2010.

That year Eriksen also made a name for himself on the Danish national team, earning "Danish Talent of the Year” recognition. His achievements with Ajax as an attacking midfielder brought the team a Eredivisie title and he was named “Dutch Football Talent of the Year.”

Eriksen joined Tottenham Hotspur F.C. after the 2012-13 season and has been a key factor in the team’s recent success. To Youtube viewers, Christian Eriksen is well known for a “half-elastico, half dragged nutmeg” from the near corner flag, which is featured on many highlight reels.
